A recent addition to the H&K handgun line, the P2000⢠incorporates features of the successful HK USP Compact⢠pistol with the latest innovations of HK engineers. Derived from a design produced especially for European police agencies, the US model of the P2000⢠features the proprietary HK LEM double-action trigger mechanism, combining the reliability of a double action revolver trigger with the crisp pull of a single action pistol. A set of simple-to-install modular grip inserts allows the P2000⢠to be custom-fitted to any shooterâs hand. Ambidextrous magazine release and dual slide release levers make handling the P2000⢠natural and easy for right and left-handed shooters alike. New for HK is the addition of âindustry standardâ mounting rails to the P2000â¢, allowing the widest variety of lights and aiming devices to be attached. The HK P2000⢠uses widely available, reliable USP Compact⢠magazines.
P2000 SK
Like the slightly larger P2000â¢, the P2000 SK⢠combines elements of the
successful USP Compact⢠pistol, only in a smaller, more concealable design. The two-part LEM hammer system employed in the P2000⢠and P2000 SK⢠is
pre-cocked by the rearward movement of the slide to reduce the force required to fire the pistol in the DAO mode of fire. A choice of simple-to-install grip inserts make it easy to custom-fit the P2000 SK⢠to any shooterâs hand. And the same ambidextrous magazine release and dual slide release levers make handling the P2000 SK⢠easy for both right and left-handed shooters. The P2000 SK⢠features a set of abbreviated âindustry standardâ mounting rails that will accommodate a range of accessories and while the SK has a shorter grip than the P2000â¢, it can also use USP Compact⢠magazines for extended capacity.
