Resistance Framing Technology
In 2004, our patented exo⢠framing technology hit the marketplace and disrupted the conventional thinking on how body armor should perform. Now, after two more years of design and rigorous laboratory testing, the next generation of proprietary framing and body armor construction is here: RFTechâ¢. Through a long series of in-house tests and research, our Research & Development team identified and isolated several key factors that affect material performance and construction: different caliber rounds, their velocities, and effects generated by impact. More specifically, how the roundâs twist, its impact location on the panel, projectile
deformation, and multiple impacts all must be considered to optimize the vestâs protective characteristics. By analyzing these effects using advanced slow motion photography, the team believed they could greatly improve performance by enhancing their original framing concepts and combining them with more sophisticated hybrid material designs. Hence, RFTech⢠was born.
